Description:

The Energy Guardian kits insulate and seal attic access openings of virtually all sizes while also providing easy access to the attic for the homeowner. These accesses create a large opening in the attic insulation and are also a source of significant air leaks.

Uses:

The Energy Guardian kits fit on the attic side opposite the living area. To enter the attic, simply grasp the handle and remove the lid from the frame. When leaving the attic, the unit is quickly and easily replaced thereby re-establishing the thermal barrier and air seal. When properly installed , the unit will stop a major source of energy loss in both hot and cold weather, improve the comfort of the home and save on both heating and cooling cost. Due to the unique design of the unit, it also protects the home from infiltration of harmfull dust, insulation and other debris in the attic. For those areas that experience significant snow, this product eliminates a major cause of ice damming.
