Q: How difficult is it to unfold and use the folding ladder?
A: Folding ladders are very easy to unfold and use. They are very well balanced and quite solid. Please click on the link below to view a video of model 1804 wooden folding attic stairs in use, to see for yourself.

A: No. You have to be able to reach close to the ceiling and pull the attic ladder down by hand. If you can not reach the ceiling, you may have to use a short sturdy step ladder to step on.

A: We do not custom make attic stairs. You have to modify your ceiling openings to meet our size requirements. You cannot attach a larger cover door than what the stairs are equipped with. Stair frame or cover cannot be trimmed or cut off.

A: All Calvert Stairs TM folding attic stairs ladders have to be cut to length after they have been installed. Follow the instructions. The angle of the ladder can not change.
